He completed his U.S. residency in internal medicine and fellowship in transplant hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh, a global leader in liver transplantation. A former Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Dr. Habib is an accomplished educator, researcher, and frequent national and international speaker, with extensive peer-reviewed publications and clinical trial leadership in advanced liver disease.
