THE COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY OF BENSON IS A 501C3 NONPROFIT, LOCATED AT 2300 W CALVARY LANE ON THE CAMPUS OF CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH. WE ARE FUNDED SOLELY BY GRANTS AND PUBLIC DONATION. We strive to offer our very best at the Community Food Pantry of Benson Arizona. OUR SERVICES INCLUDE: -Weekly Wednesday distribution of food which includes bread, canned goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, and when available, meat. The third Wednesday of the month is the only time we require 10 on that day the food is distributed by Feeding America. Emergency Food Boxes are available. Life happens and it's possible there isn't enough food to make it through the month. Call (520) 2005186 Once a month distributions are provided for those aged 60+ in the community (income based) ViCap Volunteer Interfaith Caregiver Program (520) 586 2387, provides transportation of our food items to the homebound on Wednesdays THRIVING PLANT -BAT Benson Area Transit (520) 586 9400, provides door to door transportation for Wednesday's distribution, Advance notice must be given. Call for more information. - On the 1st Friday each month the Pantry offers FREE Plant Based Cooking Classes 4 PM-6 PM Excellent Health Focused speakers, tasty cooking samples and free giveaways. On the 3rd Friday of each month the Pantry offers FREE cooking classes from 4PM6 PM This fun and interactive class is worth attending. You'll receive cooking tips, and possibly win a $50 Safeway gift card, courtesy of Benson Hospital, and a pop-up grocery store with free items to take home.
